Concept for VSD
The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) developed the concept for a program in vocational skills development for Macedonia.
The mandate required developing a VSD concept based on in-depth analysis.
It includes a desk review and interviews with stakeholders.
It also covers prior assessments in informal education, vocational skills development, and national education policy for future market needs.
Mr. Markus Maurer from Pädagogische Hochschule Zürich and Mr. Vasko Karangeleski developed the concept for a program in the area of vocational skills development (VSD) in Macedonia.
The concept report has focused on context analysis and recommendations for priority interventions for SDC involvement.
It covers baseline data, detailed stakeholder assessment, and proposed areas of interventions and prioritization.
This supports vocational skills development and intervention strategies.
It also covers direct and indirect beneficiaries, risk assessment, partners, and resource planning for cost-effectiveness.
The concept has been the precondition for a completed and ongoing project in Macedonia:
- Phase 1: Vocational Skills Development in Macedonia (completed)
- Phase 2: Education for Employment (ongoing)
